Keeping RIVUS – Demo on caching for Nicola &&& 11233*&&!1 && 444

We know exactly what it takes to keep fleets moving through such challenging times. Our owned garage network, flexible maintenance and funding solutions – alongside our mobile vehicle support solutions – provide the operational peace of mind and adaptability needed to remain operationally compliant and safe in such unprecedented circumstances.

You’re in expert hands

Rivus Fleet Solutions remains fully operational during the current national lockdown. This includes our full UK garage network, our mobile support, Accident Management and our customer operational support teams.

In doing so, we will continue to operate under stringent safety conditions to help keep our customers and our colleagues safe.

A robust supply chain

We do not anticipate any significant issues with our parts supplies – particularly because any initial pandemic-related difficulties within the suppler chain were ironed out in the first lockdown. There may be some isolated short-term disruption due to Covid outbreaks but we’ll always work to mitigate against this.

In addition, many of our parts suppliers have increased stock levels to avoid any risk associated with Brexit – something which adds reassurance for a period of lockdown.

Our focus on safety

We will always keep our customers updated with developments and any garage network news as we move through the pandemic. Safety will always be our number one priority and our Covid-19 safety processes are in place and under frequent review.

  • In line with the Rivus Fleet Solutions Covid-19 process, all vehicle main contact points are sanitised prior to release and our technicians wear a clean pair of gloves for every vehicle.
  • All vehicle keys are sanitised on drop-off and collection.
  • Social distancing and stringent hygiene measures are in place at all times.
  • Protective screens continue are in use in reception areas.
  • Face coverings are worn by colleagues and visitors in all communal areas.
  • Any colleague who displays symptoms or tests positive will remain off work in line with government guidelines.

Rental vehicles

For all rental vehicles provided by Rivus’ rental partners, users have a duty of care to ensure that they follow appropriate Covid safety procedures. Therefore, if your business is using rental vehicles during the pandemic, please ensure that Rivus is notified prior to handback if any driver or passenger within the vehicle has Covid-19, or tests positive shortly afterwards.

Rivus will assess the situation and, if appropriate, the keys will be collected but leave the vehicle isolated for up to 72-hours, so the vehicle needs to be parked in an appropriate and safe location. There will also be a rental charge applied for this isolation period. This is being done for the protection of all people who come into contact with the vehicles, including the collection drivers and their families.

Tyre availability through National Tyres and Autocare

Our tyre partner, National Tyres and Autocare, is well prepared in terms of the ‘big picture’ UK position. They have tyres on production lines, en-route to the UK in containers and in stock at warehouses. They also have a Brexit plan in place which has enabled them to maintain a consistent supply throughout the Covid crisis so far.

However, they are now experiencing relatively minor localised disruptions which are impacting upon local service and it is the randomness of these events that are difficult to predict and may well continue in the medium term.

Local tyre availability

On a local level, there are enough tyres in branch and capacity in the mobile operation to accommodate immediate unplanned demand. Nevertheless, we again encourage drivers to book in advance to mitigate against risk of specific tyres not being available at a given branch. Prior notice enables National to make internal transfers to fulfil individual customer orders.

Our ask of your drivers

To help us to help you, please could you ask your drivers to

  • Thoroughly complete their daily vehicle checks
  • Identify tyre needs before they become time or safety critical
  • Make a proactive booking with branch or mobile
